POLAND: Pesa Mińsk Mazowiecki has delivered the first eight of 24 Type 152A coaches which it is modernising for PKP Intercity under a 150m złoty contract.
The coaches have 54 seats, wi-fi, individual lighting, a new air-conditioning system, a dynamic passenger information system, and new doors. All 24 are scheduled to be completed by the end of Q1 2026.
The modernisation is being carried out with EU funding from the National Recovery & Resilience Plan.
Under separate contracts Pesa is also modernising 35 Type 154A coaches at cost of 228m złoty for delivery from Q4 2025, and eight Z1A compartment coaches for 58m złoty.
