USA: Harsco Corporation has announced two follow-on orders for its Harsco Rail track maintenance business worth a total of US$15m. The first covers the supply of an additional unit to join a growing fleet of Harsco rail grinders that undertake switch and crossing work throughout Germany, with delivery scheduled for the latter part of 2011.

In the USA, a contract to provide switch grinding services has been renewed for a five-year period, including the operation and maintenance of Harsco equipment on the customer’s behalf. According to the company, Harsco Rail is the largest provider of track maintenance equipment and services in the USA ‘and the second-largest in the world’, with operations in the UK and Australia.
