POLAND: Rolling stock investment, leasing and asset management services company Northrail has established a Polish subsidiary as part of its plans for systematic expansion in central and eastern Europe.

Northrail said Poland is one of its most important target markets, and Warszawa-based Northrail Polska would help it respond to growing demand for modern, efficient and environmentally-friendly rail vehicles in the region.

‘Poland is a strategically important market for us, and we are convinced that with our expertise and innovative solutions, we can make a significant contribution to the further development of rail transport in the region’, said Northrail CEO Dr Volker Simmering on October 23.

Aleksandra Jęć joined Northrail’s sales team in March as the direct contact person for customers in the region, and since the end of July she has also been responsible for the Scandinavian market. ’Direct communication with our customers in central and eastern Europe and Scandinavia is key to developing sustainable, tailor-made solutions’, Jęć said.
