BUTTON: Swiss firm EAO has developed an addition to its Series 56 door opening pushbutton which complies with the Technical Specifications of Interoperability for Persons with Reduced Mobility.

The symbols are now raised more than 1 mm from the surface and have a width of more than 15 mm. This will improve the usability for passengers with disabilities, and illuminated open/close symbols ease finding of the door control. The door pushbutton may also be provided with extra LEDs in green, blue or yellow.

A bezel around the button contrasts with the surface it is mounted on and may also be delivered with Braille symbols.
