ST Extruded Products Group’s Bonn plant has obtained IRIS Silver certification for aluminium rolling stock components and assemblies, following an audit by Bureau Veritas Germany Holding. ‘The IRIS Silver qualification confirms that we’re on the right track and our efforts have delivered the first positive results. Our aim now is to achieve the top performance level in the next audit’, said Sales Director Stefan Knabben.

IntelliTrans and AllTranstek have announced a wagon maintenance tracking partnership. ‘IntelliTrans keeps track of where rail cars are moving’, said company President Ken Sherman. ‘By integrating data from AllTranstek, we can tell clients that their railcars need maintenance and where that maintenance can be done promptly to minimise lost time and get the wagon back to making money.’
