
MerMec and Impulse signed a strategic partnership agreement for the development of railway safety systems during the Ukraine Recovery conference held in Roma on July 10-11. ‘The project is essential to promote technological co-operation on the Ukrainian railway network with a system that will align it with the European one’, said MerMec President & CEO Vito Pertosa.

The Association of American Railroads has approved Austrian company PJM to perform wheel strength calculations according to the S-660 and S-690 standards. ‘We are very pleased that we can now also offer our customers this consultancy service for the use of rail vehicles in North America’, said PJM managing shreholder Martin Joch.

On July 10 ADIF and China Railway renewed a 2018 collaboration protocol enabling bilateral communications, study tours and consultation on technical issues. The 2018 protocol resulted in numerous Chinese visits to Spain to discuss station management, optimisation of infrastructure maintenance costs and gauge changing technologies.
ACES Oman has been awarded a pile testing contract for the UAE to Oman railway project. The scope includes load testing, ultrasonic crosshole testing and integrity testing.
