Alstom Stockholm office

On August 19 Alstom inaugurated a new Stockholm office where it will develop signalling systems including ERTMS for the Botniabanan, Ådalsbanan and Malmbanan and the international market. ’With many years of experience in the Swedish railway sector and our expertise in, among other things, infrastructure and signalling systems as a foundation, the new office — with advanced and well-equipped laboratories — gives us even better opportunities to serve our customers with high efficiency’, says Maria Signal Martebo, Managing Director of Alstom Sweden.

International Public Partnerships Ltd has agreed to sell a 1·6% stake in rolling stock leasing company Angel Trains to Arjun Infrastructure Partners. INPP initially invested in Angel Trains in 2008 and made follow-on investments in subsequent years. Following the partial disposal which it announced on August 11 and expected to completed ‘in the coming weeks’, INPP will retain an 8·4% stake in Angel Trains and access to board representation and active governance through its investment adviser Amber Infrastructure Group. INPP said the divestment for £32m is at an attractive premium to the last published valuation in December 2024. The proceeds will support a share buyback programme and future investments including a £250m commitment to Sizewell C nuclear power station.

The Hello Paris joint venture of Keolis and RATP Dev which will operate the future CDG Express dedicated airport service from March 2027 is to use IVU.rail software from IVU Traffic Technologies for scheduling vehicles and staff. ‘This project shows us once again that our standard software IVU.rail is also ideally suited for new operators on the market’, said Oliver Grzegorski, Head of the Rail division at IVU Traffic Technologies.

RJ Corman Railroad Group has appointed Justin Broyles as President & CEO. He had been Interim President & CEO since June, having rejoined RJ Corman in 2018 after being Chief Commercial Officer at Patriot Rail.

Ticketing and intelligent transport technology company Kentkart has joined the government-backed E-Turquality initiative that supports Turkish companies in expanding their global presence.

Wyatt Cox has joined railway inspection, maintenance, construction, protection and terminal services company North American Rail Solutions as general counsel.

Professional services company Turner & Townsend has appointed Rebecca Reyman as its Rail Sector Lead for clients in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. She joins from Amtrak where she was most recently Director of Engineering Production.
