EUROPE: UK-based lubricant supplier RS Clare & Co has acquired Switzerland-based wheel-rail friction management product manufacture Igralub Holding, along with its subsidiaries in Germany and Austria and its share in a North American joint venture.
Igralub will operate as a subsidiary of RS Clare, benefiting from its broader resources including R&D facilities.
‘RS Clare is focused on growing its rail business by becoming a friction management solutions provider and increasing our footprint in key markets, such as Europe’, said Managing Director David Meadows on January 18. ‘Igralub has built an enviable reputation with over 30 years’ relevant experience in wheel rail friction management and satisfied customers worldwide, so this acquisition supports both these goals.’
He said Igralub’s ‘advanced systems knowledge, project delivery experience and extensive market presence enables us to leverage the complimentary capabilities of both businesses’.
