UK: Eversholt Rail has announced a 22-year agreement to provide project and asset management support services to Cross London Trains, the consortium of Siemens Project Ventures, 3i Infrastructure and Innisfree which was awarded a £1·6bn contract by the Department for Transport to build, own, finance and maintain 1 140 electric multiple-unit cars for Thameslink services through London.

Eversholt Rail is to provide project management services during the manufacturing of the new fleet, followed by long-term asset management including both technical and commercial support.

Announcing the deal with Cross London Trains on July 2, the leasing company said it had more than 16 years of experience in the procurement and lifecycle management of rolling stock. 'We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Cross London Trains and to be helping new financiers to bring new trains to the UK market', said CEO Mary Kenny.
