SLOVENIA: Rail infrastructure manager SŽ-Infrastruktura has awarded Tesmec Rail two contracts totalling €71m for the supply 21 maintenance vehicles.
Italian company Tesmec said the 4·5 year contracts signed at Ljubljana station on March 5 confirm its ability to drawn on its experience in its home market to offer products which are competitive on a European scale.
One €52m contract covers the supply 15 high-performance track maintenance vehicles. The second contract worth €19m covers six overhead line maintenance vehicles, including a hybrid vehicle equipped with batteries to significantly reduce emissions and noise.
‘The contracts awarded in Slovenia strengthen Tesmec’s position as a partner of choice for the modernisation of railway infrastructure, capitalising on the experience gained in the domestic market and successful experiences in the Czech Republic, France, Bulgaria, Egypt and Morocco’, said company President Ambrogio Caccia Dominioni.
