The infrastructure manager said the delivery of the first-of-its-kind TDX101 high speed plain track tamper marks a ‘significant leap forward’ in the modernisation of its maintenance plant fleet to boost production rates and enhance track quality.

‘TDX101 represents a step change in how we maintain and improve the network’, said Clinton Crump, Group Executive Operations. ‘We’re not just upgrading equipment, we’re transforming how we deliver maintenance. This will enable faster, more consistent results and ultimately a more reliable network for our customers.’
Plasser has also supplied sister machine BX101, a SSP305 high-performance ballast regulator. Later this year it will deliver a Unimat 09-2X-4×4/4S dynamic plain track and turnout tamper partnered with an SSP303 regulator.
Nathan Stevens, Sales & Marketing Manager at Plasser Australia, said ’ARTC will receive the most advanced Plasser track machines ever delivered in Australia – setting new industry benchmarks in safety, performance, and compliance. We’ve invested over 100 000 h in the design and manufacture of these machines, which reflect our deep commitment to innovation and excellence in rail technology.’
