INNOTRANS: ‘Mobility on a global scale — shaping projects and growth opportunities’ will be the title for the opening ceremony of the InnoTrans 2026 trade fair, where key themes will included AI, autonomous public transport, digitalisation, cybersecurity and night trains.
The first InnoTrans Hackathon will be held this year, with participants sought to develop practical and creative solutions to specific challenges with the theme of ‘AI on Track’.
The Young Generation Round Table will offer a new networking format, with industry networks for people at early stages in their careers invited to make contacts and exchange ideas on the future of transport in the Oktoberfest Restaurant from 15.00 on September 24. The first 50 participants will receive a free drink.
This year’s InnoTrans, which is to be held in Berlin from September 22 to 25, marks the 30th anniversary of the event. The entire 200 000 m2 of exhibition space, including 42 halls, outdoor and track areas and the bus display in the Summer Garden, is already fully booked.
‘The enormous interest from industry, politics and science shows how great the need is for international exchange and forward-looking solutions for sustainable mobility’, said Kerstin Schulz, InnoTrans director at exhibition organiser Messe Berlin. ‘The fact that InnoTrans is completely booked up at such an early stage is, in my view, a strong signal for our work over the past 30 years.’
