FINLAND: The board of Helsinki transport operator HKL approved the purchase of 20 more trams from Škoda Transportation subsidiary Transtech on December 8. Deliveries of the low-floor Artic trams are due to take place in 2018-19.

The 27·4 m long trams from the €57·3m order would be identical to the Artic trams now being built for Helsinki. So far 14 are in service of the 40 ordered under a framework contract in 2010 that includes option for 90 more. HKL recently exercised an option for 29 longer trams for the future Raide-Jokeri orbital light rail line.
