Future passengers at Bras Basah station now under construction as part of Singapore’s Circle Line project will be able to look upwards though water to the sky above. The deepest station on the MRT network will feature a 100mm deep rooftop reflection pool with a specially designed triple-laminate glass bottom, allowing natural light from the surface to reach passengers on the platforms 35m below. The 60m by 15m water-filled skylight has been designed by WoHa Architects, and is being built by the Woh Hup, Shanghai Tunnel Engineering and NCC International joint venture.
