FRENCH Minister of Transport Dominique Perben announced on January 30 that five consortia had qualified for the concession to develop a dedicated rail link to Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport (RG 9.06 p485).

The five bids are from: Eiffage partnered with Macquarie Bank a group formed of Bouygues TP, Seco-Rail, RATP-Développement, Fideppp and HSBC IFML a consortium formed of Vinci Concessions, Vinci SA, Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, Axa Infrastructure Investissement and Keolis FCC Construcci?n SA and a partnership of Iridium Concesiones de Infraestructuras SA with CAF.

Bids are due to be submitted 'in the autumn' with a view to the contract being signed in the first half of 2008.
