FRENCH National Railways’ long-distance passenger division is to relaunch its Paris - Lyon and Paris - Lille high-speed trains as a regular-interval shuttle service, christened TGV Navette. From the start of the winter timetable on September 28, departures from Paris Lyon and Lyon Part-Dieu will be on the hour, with additional peak services at half past the hour. Paris - Lille services will be relaunched in January.

A new style of on-board service is to be introduced with the TGV Navette concept. Paris - Lyon services will be provided exclusively by TGV Duplex double-deck trainsets; the four daily Paris - St Etienne trains will be worked by TGV Réseau sets, coupled to the double-deck units between Paris and Lyon. o
