AUDIO: EAO has extended its Series 56 range of sound modules with the launch of a TSI PRM-compliant offering. The module can be pre-programmed with three TSI-compliant tones that are intended to help mobility-impaired passengers board trains and orientate themselves within the saloon.
The module allows volume to be adjusted in increments of 15 dB within a range of 66 dB to 90dB, achieving the 70 dB level prescribed by TSI PRM. The new design also permits volume to be adjusted after installation, to take account of the noise levels in a particular vehicle, and the module’s position within it. The previous six terminals are reduced to four.
