INTRO: More than 100 exhibitors reserve display space in Hall 6.2

THE’Interiors’ segment being launched at InnoTrans 2006 is already proving to be a great success. Well over 100 exhibitors have registered to take part - half of them from outside Germany - filling to capacity the 6000 m2 allocated in Hall 6.2.

InnoTrans project manager Matthias Steckmann is highly satisfied with the response. ’Alongside the vehicle outfitters who had already been represented at InnoTrans in previous years, we are seeing a lot of new exhibitors, especially from abroad. What is striking is that firms from other industries are using this new segment as a point of entry into the rail sector.’

Vossloh takes three stands

Germany’s Vossloh AG, together with its subsidiaries, will be highlighting its wide range of products on no less than three separate stands at InnoTrans 2006. Amongst the planned exhibits are Europe’s most powerful diesel-electric locomotive, the Euro 4000 being built at the company’s Spanish factory near Valencia; the latest ’electronic ink’ applications for mobile passenger information displays; and hybrid vehicle technology. ’As well as being a showcase for our products’, says Vossloh CEO Dr Gerhard Eschenr
