Bangkok MTS has introduced new uniforms designed by Thanulux to offer a ‘smart modern look’. Made from CoolMode fabric produced by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation in collaboration with the Thailand Textile Institute and textile producer groups, the uniforms are designed for higher temperatures to reduce the need for air-conditioning, and to be easily washable to reduce water usage.

TransLink has announced the appointment of Sany Zein as the next President & General Manager of BC Rapid Transit Co, which is responsible for the operations of Vancouver’s SkyTrain light metro and West Coast Express commuter services. Revised schedules for the expansion of the Braunschweig tram network have been released, with an extension to Volkmarode-Nord now expected to be approved in 2023 for construction to start in 2025 and a further route scheduled to be approved in 2024 for construction from 2026.
Washington DC’s WMATA has renamed five stations from September 11 at the request of local jurisdictions: White Flint to North Bethesda; Largo Town Center to Downtown Largo; Tysons Corner to Tysons; Prince George’s Plaza to Hyattsville Crossing, and West Falls Church’s secondary name VT/UVA will become VT only.
The Face Pay biometric fare payment system is now available at all 85 gates at the 31 stations on the Moscow Central Circle line, which is operated by the Moscow Metro. More than 190 000 users have registered for Face Pay since it launched in October 2021, and it has been used for 33 million journeys.
