CHINA: The YINLV tourist train has been developed by CRRC Changchun and China Railway Harbin Group to offer ‘middle-aged and elderly’ passengers a ‘comfortable, high-quality’ journey.

CRRC said the train ‘integrates technology with human care’, reflecting its ‘thoughtful design and meticulous attention to senior-friendly travel’.

The train has 18 coaches, including 13 sleeping cars, a multi-purpose car and a dining car, with a total capacity of 528 passengers.

Each sleeping car has each with 10 four-bed compartments, with ergonomic ladders to help passengers reach the upper bunks with ease. The ceiling is elevated to make the upper bunks more spacious, eliminating the need to bend over, and the lower bunks are also elevated to provide convenient luggage storage underneath.

The multi-purpose car includes a reading corner with a bookshelf, sofa and a display screen, as well as an interactive space where up to 20 people can participate in activities such as singing, fitness and massage.
