Ronald Pofalla, previously Board Member for Economic, Legal & Regulatory Affairs at DB AG, became Board Member for Infrastructure & Services with effect from January 1, replacing Dr Volker Kefer who left the company at the end of 2016. As part of a revision of board responsibilities, the infrastructure portfolio now includes economic affairs, policy, safety and international business relations. Board Member for Human Resources Ulrich Weber has had his contract extended until the end of 2018. A new ‘Technology & Quality’ portfolio is to be established and, pending appointment of a dedicated board member, it will be headed by Management Board Chairman Dr Rüdiger Grube.
