Hitachi Rail Europe Chairman Alistair Dormer has announced the appointment of Karen Boswell (photo) as Managing Director with effect from June 1. Formerly Managing Director of UK passenger operator East Coast, she succeeds Keith Jordan who is to take up an international role where he will be involved in the integration of Ansaldo STS and AnsaldoBreda within Hitachi.
Ansaldo STS UK Chairman Nick Hughes is to join Hitachi Rail Europe as Sales Director, taking over responsibility for this function from Chief Operating Officer Andy Barr.
