Canadian Pacific has appointed three senior vice-presidents, with Doug McFarlane (photo) taking charge of US Operations, Guido De Ciccio leading Canadian Operations and Scott MacDonald heading up System Operations. The long-serving CP employees together form a senior operations team which replaces Executive Vice-President & Chief Operations Officer Mike Franczak, who resigned on October 1.
President & CEO Hunter Harrison intends this reorganisation to move top-level decision making from the office to the field, saying ‘I expect Doug’s and Guido’s teams to get closer to the customer with Scott’s team providing them with analytics, policy and transportation support.’
Brian Grassby will become Senior Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer on November 1, succeeding Kathryn McQuade who will stay on as an advisor until her contract expires in May.
