France: SNCF Proximités Director General Jean-Pierre Farandou (photo) has announced several senior appointments to strengthen the management team at the national railway’s business unit which operates urban and regional passenger services in France.
Christian Cochet has been appointed Deputy Director General with responsibility for development, while Céline Sibert becomes Secretary General & Director, Human Resources, with oversight of communications. Laurent Trevisani has been named Deputy Director General in charge of Strategy & Finance.
Bénédicte Tilloy becomes Director General of the SNCF Transilien operations in Paris, while former TER director Claude Solard becomes Director General of SNCF Régions & Intercités, supported by Christophe Fanichet as Director of the new Intercités unit operating subsidised long-distance services.
