THAILAND: A 4·3 km four-station extension of Bangkok BTS SkyTrain’s Sukhumvit (Green) Line north from Kasetsart University to Royal Forest Department and Wat Phra Sri Mahathat opened on June 5.
Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-o-Cha presided over the opening ceremony and rode from Ha Yak Ladprao station to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat in 17 min.
A further extension to Ku Kot station adding seven more stations is expected to open in December, taking the BTS SkyTrain network to 68·25 km and 59 stations.
