INDIA: The creation of a ‘future-ready leadership pool for Indian Railways’ is the focus of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Railways and the Indian School of Business.

The MoU signed on October 30 covers executive education programmes, research opportunities and the development of case studies and educational materials.

‘This strategic partnership will allow Indian Railways to build leadership talent in a rapidly changing competitive environment’, said Chairman of the Railway Board Vinod Kumar Yadav. ‘The MoU will also facilitate research in areas of importance to the railways and make the railways an innovation and technology driven future-ready organisation.’

Professor Rajendra Srivastava of the ISB said ‘it is important for railway officials to comprehend the nuances of managing the future transformations, and it is here that ISB could offer appropriate learning interventions, develop thought leadership and initiate research programmes to bring win-win scenarios.’
