The supplier said Transdev had opted for a combination of portable computer-based ‘nano simulators’ and a ‘space-optimising, yet immersive’ compact simulator. This physically reproduces the driving desk with the rest of the tram being ‘faithfully virtualised’, saving space while providing an immersive experience for trainees.

TrainLab provides a 3D model of the two types of tram through which the trainees can navigate, giving them the opportunity to explore the vehicle, learn out-of-cab procedures and access documentation, media content and animations.
