SilverRail now offers access to SNCF's ticket inventories.

FRANCE: Business-to-business travel technology company SilverRail has announced that it has become the first non-SNCF partner to be able to connect to the French national operator’s ticket inventories via its Portail d’Acces aux Offres API.

This will enable travel management companies and online travel agents across the world to use SilverRail’s SilverCore technology platform to sell tickets for SNCF services, including those provided by SNCF Italy, Eurostar, Thalys, TGV Lyria and jointly with RENFE and DB.

‘We are honoured to be SNCF’s first partner to use their new PAO API, and the first rail distribution system to have this level and depth of a connection’, said SilverRail Chief Operations Officer Will Phillipson. ‘By building better and faster connections to European rail content, and allowing our partners like Expedia.com to distribute SNCF products for the first-time, the partnership highlights SilverRail’s dedication to raising the profile of rail and of course, French tourism.’

Pierre Matuchet, Senior Vice-President Marketing & Information System at Voyages SNCF, said distribution through travel agencies was very important to SNCF, especially with respect to corporate customers. ‘Agencies can differentiate themselves by innovating on their technological offer, especially online’, he said. ‘The good connectivity to our offers is thus fundamental to the quality of their tools.’
