POLAND: Poznań-based FPS H Cegielski has delivered the last of 81 coaches ordered by PKP Intercity.

The 700m złoty order signed in February 2018 included seven first-class compartment cars, 27 second-class open and 27 second-class compartment cars, 10 second-class open cars with spaces for eight bicycles and 10 second-class compartment cars with facilities for passengers with reduced mobility.

The TSI-compliant 200 km/h coaches feature passenger information systems, air-conditioning, wi-fi and mobile signal amplifiers, with at-seat power sockets and lights.

The coaches are to be used on a range of inter-city routes, including from Warszawa to Zakopane, Wrocław, Szczecin, Berlin and Wien.

‘We constantly strive to make railway transport comfortable, accessible and green. Our goal is to make transport and infrastructure available to every citizen’, said Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk when the final vehicles were delivered in January.
