FRANCE: Greater Besançon municipality has awarded Keolis a seven-year contract to operate the city’s Ginko network of trams and buses. The contract running from January 1 2018 is expected to generate total revenue of €248·5m.

Keolis Besançon Mobilités will take over from Transdev, which currently operates the networks with combined ridership of 27 million passengers per year. This is expected to grow by up to 9% by 2024.

Keolis plans to launch a new website next year featuring an online shop, as well as a mobile app. These would be managed by Koredge and Vix.
