FRANCE: Nuclear energy company Areva transferred its Command & Control for Transportation activities and staff to Alstom with effect from October 31.

The CCT business designs and produces signalling equipment for trams and metros, as well as radio communications and the Train Control Management System as used on the MF2000 metro trainsets for Paris

‘This acquisition is an integral part of our growth strategy’, said Pascal Cléré, Senior Vice-President of Alstom Transport’s Signalling division. ‘The CCT business will enable us to strengthen our offer in signalling and puts us in a stronger position in the market for transport networks in the Paris and Ile-de-France areas, as well as for trams.’
