Angel Trains has a fleet of around 4 600 vehicles leased to UK operators.

UK: Australian pension investor AMP Capital Investors has increased its stake in UK rolling stock leasing company Angel Trains by acquiring minority interests previously held by Prime Super and STC Funds Nominee.

AMP Capital Investors has been an investor in Angel Trains since 2008. It had increased its stake from 30% to 55% in August this year, when Arcus European Infrastructure Fund sold its interests in the leasing company to AMP and Canadian public-sector pension investor PSP Investments.

Angel Trains said the latest transaction announced on October 14 ‘further demonstrates AMP Capital Investors' long-term commitment to both Angel Trains and the UK rail industry.’
