DENMARK: DB's rolling stock engineering services business DB Systemtechnik has won a framework contract to provide Danish national passenger operator DSB with specialist technical support for the maintenance and repair of its fleet.

The deal announced on November 7 runs for three years, with an option to extend for a further two years. It is the first such international contract DB Systemtechnik has won since it became a standalone DB subsidiary at the end of 2011.

Majbritt Juul, head of engineering at DSB Vedligehold, said that as a relatively small operator DSB would benefit from being able to access expertise in fields where it lacks the scale to develop in-house skills.
