Berkshire Hathaway company Marmon Holdings has acquired Transco Railway Products from Transco Inc for an undisclosed price.

USA: Berkshire Hathaway company Marmon Holdings has acquired Transco Railway Products from Transco Inc for an undisclosed price.

Chicago-based Transco Railway Products provides wagon repair, maintenance, certification and cleaning services at seven sites in the Great Lakes region, Iowa and Montana, and also supplies wagon components from a factory in Ohio.

Current company President Bob Nelson will continue to lead Transco Railway Products within Marmon’s Rail & Leasing sector.

‘We have significantly invested in our repair network over the past several years, allowing us to grow’, said Nelson when the deal was announced on May 13. ‘With Marmon’s backing, we look forward to further growth to better serve our existing and new customers.’
