USA: Marmon Rail has launched Transco Rail Services, bringing together its UTLX Field Services, Procor Field Services and Transco Fixed Repair Shops brands under a unified identity covering all its repair services.
Marmon Rail said this will give wagon owners and shippers a single clearly-branded partner for workshop, on-site and mobile repairs as well as tank car cleaning.
Transco Rail Services has 13 full-service fixed workshops and more than 100 on-site and mobile repair facilities, and offers a full suite of repair services including inspections and qualifications, running repairs, heavy shop work and tank car cleaning, for wagons from all manufacturers.
‘Customers have asked for a simpler way to engage our network’, said Bob Nelson, Group President at Transco Rail Services, after the brand was launched on January 1. ‘Transco Rail Services answers that with one identity, one standard and clear accountability — so it’s easier to schedule work, reduces handoffs and keep fleets in service.’
The UTLX and Procor brands have been retained for manufacturing, full-service leasing and leased fleet repair, with Transco Rail Services continuing to deliver on-site and mobile repair services for the UTLX PROX fleet.
