CZECH REPUBLIC: Pragoimex’s EVO1 tram prototype entered passenger service on Route 4 of DPML’s 19 km inter-urban network, which links the cities of Most and Litvínov, on September 12. The tram, also known as Evička, was presented to the public at Most’s Open Doors Day two days earlier.

Following passenger-carrying tests in Praha that began in February, the air-conditioned tram was delivered to Most in mid-July for testing. It has since been repainted in DPML’s livery and fitted with wi-fi and navigation elements for blind passengers.

The 15 m long single-section 100% low-floor tram has capacity for 110 passengers, including 30 seated. It was built at the Hostivař workshops in Praha by the Alliance TW Team of tram operator DP Praha, Pragoimex, Krnovske opravarny a strojíry and VKV Praha.
