TAIWAN: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has awarded Systra a subcontract to carry out the independent safety assessment of the Automatic Train Control system onboard unit MHI has developed for Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp’s existing fleet of 30 Series 700T trainsets.
Systra’s job is to ensure the new-generation ATC complies with the EN 50126 and EN 50128 standards for reliability, availability, maintainability and safety.
The new onboard unit developed for the Series 700T trainsets by MHI is based on the model in use on the N700S Shinkansen trainsets in service in Japan.
