INNOTRANS: Speno will be discussing how it has increased the productivity of rail grinding, and highlighting four themes to its innovations.
These are:
- Clean machines, with a technique to ensure the recovery of debris and metal chips during the grinding process;
- Smart machines, with the most appropriate grinding patterns and self-diagnosis of faults;
- Safe machines, assisting operators to avoid any interference between grinding equipment and devices such as guard rails, axle counters and hot box detectors;
- Accurate machines, offering real-time monitoring while grinding of the rail cross-sections, corrugation, headcheck and spalling reduction, track gauge, rail roughness and metal removal.
