USA: Steer Davies Gleave has acquired the transport planning practice of Boston-based international consultancy Charles River Associates. The CRA team led by Jon Bottom specialises in demand, revenue, planning and policy studies for the rail, urban transport and aviation sectors as well as tunnel and bridge projects.

Bottom said his team 'will form the foundation of a strategic relationship between Steer Davies Gleave and our former colleagues at CRA, which retains several eminent experts in transportation, like CRA Senior Consultants Dan Brand and Michael Kemp.'

Founded in 1978, London-based Steer Davies Gleave has 400 staff 16 offices in Europe and the Americas, and annual turnover in excess of £35m. It has three offices in the USA, where it has been active for eight years.
