Paris tram T10

FRANCE: RATP Dev has been awarded an eight-year contract to operate the future tram Route T10 and eight nearby bus services in the southwestern suburbs of Paris. This is the second package of services to be competitively tendered by transport regional authority Île-de-France Mobilités.

The 8·2 km tramway running from La Croix-de-Berny in Antony to Place de Garde in Clamart with 14 stops is scheduled to open in mid-2023, with ridership estimated at nearly 9 million passengers/year. Alstom is to supply a fleet of 13 Citadis X05 trams.

‘We are proud of the trust Île-de-France Mobilités has placed in us’, said RATP Chair & CEO Catherine Guillouard when the contract was announced in October. ‘Winning the tender for T10 and the surrounding bus routes demonstrates the group’s expertise and know-how. Our subsidiary RATP Dev was able to submit the best offer and allow the group to win this essential contract. I am convinced that this win will lead to others, thanks to the commitment, knowledge and determination of our teams.’

In July 2019, Île-de-France Mobilités awarded Keolis a 5½ year contract to operate tramway T9, which opened in April this year, along with associated bus services.
