USA: New Jersey transport agency NJ Transit is aiming to increase leisure traffic with the launch of an online Pizza and Pints map highlighting 150 pizzerias, breweries, distilleries and wineries within walking distance of its bus, rail and light rail services.
‘Pizza and Pints is designed to boost economic activity for New Jersey-based businesses while increasing recreational ridership by offering new and existing customers the opportunity to visit some of New Jersey’s best spots by public transit’, said NJ Transit President & CEO Kris Kolluri on June 12.
‘This is a great opportunity to visit some of the finest eateries and breweries while leaving your car at home’ said Pete Merrigan, owner of Yale Terrace Brewery in Cranford which has brewed an All Aboard Ale named exclusively for NJ Transit.
Customers can purchase a commemorative Pizza and Pints pint glass from NJ Transit’s online merchandise Transit Shoppe.
