Cooperation Siemens Mobility PL Poznan University of Technology (2)

POLAND: Siemens Mobility is to support the study of topics relating to rolling stock mechanics and manufacturing at Poznań University of Technology, and provide opportunities for students and graduates.

Plans included lectures by Siemens experts, visits to the company’s plants, internships and co-operation in the preparation of theses and the implementation of special projects.

‘The co-operation means sharing knowledge and carrying out teaching activities for future generations of engineers and railway specialists in the region’, said Piotr Haremza, Head of Customer Service at Siemens Mobility, when the partnership agreement was signed in April. ‘Many graduates of this university work at Siemens Mobility on a daily basis. We look forward to developing and supporting education at the university’.

The university’s Professor Teofil Jesionowski said ‘we are pleased to establish co-operation with a company with such a strong tradition in the rail vehicle market’, which means students will have ‘a unique opportunity to acquire practical knowledge of advanced technologies, as well as gain practical experience that will be crucial in the labour market.’
