NETHERLANDS: The 16th edition of the RailTech Europe trade show will take place at the Jaarbeurs venue in Utrecht on March 4-5 2026, organised by Railway Gazette International’s parent group ProMedia.
Consisting of a trade fair and conference sessions, the event will offer two days of knowledge exchange, networking and live demonstrations. Among the key themes of the 2026 show will be skills and recruitment, digitalisation of railways and the ongoing adoption of ERTMS — this is especially topical in the Benelux region given the recent completion of a national roll-out in Belgium.
The exhibition hall will host a dedicated Talent Hub, which will be ‘a dedicated space where students and companies can meet, discuss career opportunities and explore what the rail sector has to offer new talent’.
Alongside the trade show is a two-day conference, which is split into various thematic sessions. Among the key topics being discussed is the importance of military mobility in supporting the case for rail investment, and ways to make railway infrastructure more sustainable. Confirmed speakers over the two days include Vytis Žalimas, CEO of Lithuania’s rail infrastructure manager LTG Infra; Enno Wiebe, Director General of UNIFE; Carlos Rico, Rail Policy Officer at the Transport & Environment think tank; and Thilde Restofte Pedersen, CEO of Nordic Signals.
Registration to visit the trade show and attend the conference is now open.
