FRANCE: Conduent’s Seamless Transportation System contactless payment technology has been rolled out across 21 trams and 200 buses in Tours’ Fil Bleu transport network.

Users download the Seamless Transportation System smartphone app and register to activate an account. They then present their smartphone at any onboard tag. Passengers also have access to the Agglopolys network in Blois.

‘Interoperability and compatibility with other transit systems in France using the Seamless Transportation System is an additional significant benefit to the riders’, said Loïc Latour, Director of Passenger Mobility at Fil Bleu.

The ticketing system is now available in seven urban areas across France, with networks in Toulon and Perpignan being added earlier this year.

‘Transport operators are looking to modernise their ticketing so that passengers can access the systems quickly, easily and safely’, said Jean-Charles Zaia, General Manager, Public Transit at Conduent Transportation. ‘Fil Bleu was up and running very quickly due to Conduent’s technologically advanced and easily installed system. Once a passenger has the app, they can leverage any transportation network in France that uses the growing Seamless Transportation System.’
