The five-car Coradia Stream EMUs developed and manufactured locally at Alstom’s Santa Perpètua de Mogoda site have been designed for the specific needs of airport journeys, with extensive luggage space, wide aisles, 20 service information screens and nine screens providing data on flight departures and arrivals. There will also be two front and 10 side exterior LED screens.

Each EMU will have 197 fixed, seven folding and two PMR seats and a total capacity of 656 passengers. The design was developed in collaboration with the ONCE Foundation to ensure full accessibility, and includes step-free access from the platform. The trains are fitted with an automatic ramp at the doors near the persons with reduced mobility area in the second car, which will have an accessible toilet with a powered door. Each train will include two PRM spaces and two multifunctional areas for bicycles and pushchairs. There will be audible signals for door operations, and green and red door opening and closing warning lighting.
