IRELAND: Commercial vehicle graphics specialist Aura Brand Solutions has reliveried 17 Iarnród Éireann four-car CAF Class 29000 diesel multiple-units as part of their mid-life refurbishment.
This involved the removal of all existing branding and full anti-corrosion treatment, followed by the preparation and spray painting of the vehicle roofs and cab fronts.
Each set was then primed and wrapped branded 3M180Mc vinyl from 3M, with 3M8993 and 8588G overlaminates used for anti-graffiti protection.
Aura built an undercover area to create a temperature-controlled environment where the work could be undertaken; Aura and 3M have agreed a six-year warranty for the work.
Aura will continue to support maintenance, and has trained Iarnród Éireann staff to repair minor damage including the removal and reapplication of small panels.
