SWEDEN: Road-rail vehicle manufacturer Goldschmidt Sweden has begun the modernisation and expansion of its Osby headquarters to increase capacity, shorten delivery times and enhance customer service.
In the first phase, construction company Rickardsson Bygg has been commissioned to build a 1 700 m² vehicle assembly hall by the end of 2026.
The existing production complex which includes two manufacturing halls will then undergo an extensive modernisation in the second phase of the 2½-year project. Emphasis will be placed on sustainability and energy efficiency, including installing new windows, enhanced wall and ceiling insulation and a connection to the local district heating network.
‘This investment is a clear commitment to the Osby site and to the long-term development of Goldschmidt Sweden’, said Stefan Magnusson, Managing Director of Goldschmidt Sweden. ‘By modernising our facilities, we are not only creating optimal production conditions but also significantly improving the working environment for our employees.’
Chairman of the supervisory board Karl Goldschmidt said ‘as a family-owned company, we think in generations. With this forward-looking investment, we are ensuring that Goldschmidt Sweden remains a strong and sustainable production site for decades to come.’
