SWEDEN: Wabtec has completed the acquisition of Dellner Couplers from investment group EQT, saying the coupler and gangway manufacturer brings ‘highly attractive and complementary technologies’.
‘The strength of Dellner Couplers’ management team and industry-leading solutions will accelerate our growth strategy in the passenger rail market’, said President of Wabtec Transit Pascal Schweitzer on February 11. ‘The addition of Dellner Couplers aligns with our long-term vision of driving innovation, productivity, safety and reliability for passenger rail on a global scale.’
The US$960m agreement had been annunced March 2025, subject to subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Wabtec said Dellner has more than 1 200 people at 17 sites in 13 countries serving over 200 customers, and a global installed base of about 100 000 couplers and 12 500 gangways.
