TURKEY: Construction of the fourth phase of the Antalya light rail network between the Konyaaltı and Varsak was approved in mid-January, with work scheduled to begin this year for completion by the end of 2028.
About 6 km of the 18 km route with 18 stations will be in tunnel 30 m underground.
The total budget has been announced as TL23bn, with Antalya Metropolitan Municipality planning to finance a significant portion through foreign loans.
In addition, on January 21, Prowin Engineering officially presented geotchnical stuides for the 22 km fifth phase which will connect the Konyaaltı, Lara and Kundu districts.
