
ITALY: Turkish manufacturer Bozankaya delivered the first of the 20 five-section trams it is supplying for Napoli operator ANM on November 26.
The 100% low-floor, 30·5 m long bidirectional vehicle has capacity for up to 270 passengers, of which 64 can be seated. It has four double-leaf and two single-leaf doors on each side, and is capable of operating at up to 70 km/h.

Being supplied under a contract signed in May 2024, the first vehicle is scheduled to enter service next year.
Meanwhile, for its home market, Bozankaya is also building 25 four-car metro trainsets for Istanbul’s Line M4, and 20 light rail vehicle sets for the two-line Bursaray light metro network in Bursa, Bozankaya Vice-President Emrah Dal told Railway Gazette International.
- On November 25 test running began with the first of 56 electric multiple-units that Stadler is supplying to regional operator EAV for use on the 950 mm gauge Circumvesuviana railway network south and east of Napoli.
